Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has urged citizens to report cyber fraud by contacting the helpline 1930 immediately. This call to action came during an event at Sahyadri Guest House, where he launched a short film to raise awareness about 'Digital Arrest' scams and introduced the '1930 Maharashtra Cyber Anthem'. He warned against fraudsters impersonating law enforcement officials to intimidate victims.
Fadnavis emphasized the critical 'Golden Hour' after a cyber fraud incident, stating that swift reporting can greatly enhance the chances of recovering stolen funds. He noted that delays can complicate recovery efforts as funds may be transferred through various accounts.
